  "text": "(1) Schedule 1 to the 1978 NI. 20 Rent (Northern Ireland) Order 1978 shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this Article.\n(2) For paragraph 2 of that Schedule there shall be substituted the following paragraph—\n“\n2 The surviving spouse (if any) of the original tenant, if residing in the dwelling-house immediately before the death of the original tenant, shall after the death be the statutory tenant if and so long as he or she occupies the dwelling-house as his or her residence”.\n(3) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .\n(4) The following provisions of that Schedule shall be omitted—\n(a) in paragraphs 1 and 4(a) the words “or 3 ”;\n(b) paragraphs 3 and 8;\n(c) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .\n(d) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .\n(5) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .\n(6) The amendments made by this Article shall have effect only in relation to deaths occurring after the commencement date.",
