# The Housing (Right to Acquire) (Discount) Order 1997, Article 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) This Order may be cited as the Housing (Right to Acquire) (Discount) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1997.
(2) In this Order “area” means a “local government area” as defined by section 270 of the Local Government Act 1972.
