# The Housing (Right To Acquire) (Discount) Order 1998, Article 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) This Order may be cited as the Housing (Right To Acquire) (Discount) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 9th September 1998.
(2) In this Order “area” means a “county” or “district” as defined by section 270 of the Local Government Act 1972, a London borough or the City of London.
