  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order specifies the amount of discount for the purposes of section 17 of the Housing Act 1996 (supplemental provisions on the right to acquire). Tenants of registered social landlords who have a right to acquire their homes under section 16 of the 1996 Act are able to do so with a discount from the purchase price. The amount of the discount varies according to the area in which the dwelling is situated.\nThe Order replaces the Housing (Right to Acquire) (Discount) Order 1997. Under this Order, some areas are in different discount bands from before and the Order takes into account changes in local authority areas and names.",
