  "text": "(1) After section 1 of the Surrogacy Arrangements Act 1985 there is inserted—\n“ Surrogacy arrangements unenforceable.\n1A No surrogacy arrangement is enforceable by or against any of the persons making it.”\n(2) In section 1 of that Act (meaning of “surrogate mother”, etc.)—\n(a) in subsection (6), for “or, as the case may be, embryo insertion” there is substituted “or of the placing in her of an embryo, of an egg in the process of fertilisation or of sperm and eggs, as the case may be,”, and\n(b) in subsection (9), the words from “and whether” to the end are repealed.",
