# The Human Medicines Regulations 2012, Regulation 271: Offences: penalties


A person who is guilty of an offence under regulation 268, 268A, 269, 269A or 270 is liable—
(a) on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum; or
(b) on conviction on indictment, to a fine, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or to both.
