# The Illegal Working Compliance Orders Regulations 2016, Regulation 10: Restriction on retention of documents

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

Nothing in these Regulations permits a relevant person to retain documents produced by an employee or the Home Office for the purposes of these Regulations for any period longer than is necessary for the purposes of ensuring compliance with regulation 6, 8, 9 , 9A or 9B.
