Article 15 Applying for permission to appeal to the Tribunal
An appeal from the determination of an adjudicator may only be made with the permission of the Tribunal upon an application made in accordance with these Rules.
Subject to paragraph (3), an application for permission to appeal must be made by filing an application notice with the appellate authority.
A person who is in detention under the Immigration Acts may apply for permission to appeal either—
in accordance with paragraph (2); or
by serving an application notice on the person having custody of him.
Where an application notice is served in accordance with paragraph (3)(b), the person having custody of the appellant must endorse on the notice the date that it is served on him and forward it to the appellate authority.
As soon as practicable after an application notice for permission to appeal is filed, the appellate authority must notify the respondent that it has been filed.
