Article 40 Adjournment of hearings
Subject to any provision of these Rules or of any other enactment, an adjudicator or the Tribunal may adjourn the hearing of any appeal or application.
An adjudicator or the Tribunal must not adjourn a hearing on the application of a party, unless satisfied that the appeal or application cannot otherwise be justly determined.
Where a party applies for an adjournment of a hearing, he must—
if practicable, notify all other parties of the application;
show good reason why an adjournment is necessary; and
produce evidence of any fact or matter relied upon in support of the application.
Where a hearing is adjourned, the appellate authority—
must fix a new date, time and place for the hearing; and
may give directions for the future conduct of the appeal or application.
