# The Immigration (Exemption from Control) (Amendment) Order 1997, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends article 4 of the Immigration (Exemption from Control) Order 1972. The effect is to exempt members of the staff of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, from any provision of the Immigration Act 1971 relating to those who are not British Citizens (except any provision relating to deportation).
