  "text": "(1) This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Guernsey) Order 2025 and comes into force on the day specified by regulations made by the States of Guernsey Committee for Home Affairs; and different dates may be specified for different provisions and for different purposes.\n(2) In this Order—\n“the 1971 Act” means the Immigration Act 1971,\n“the 1999 Act” means the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999,\n“the 2022 Act” means the Nationality and Borders Act 2022,\n“Guernsey” means the Bailiwick of Guernsey, and\n“relevant Act” means the 1971 Act, the 1999 Act, the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 or the 2022 Act.\n(3) For the purposes of construing provisions of a relevant Act as part of the law of Guernsey, a reference to an enactment which extends to Guernsey is to be construed as a reference to that enactment as it has effect in Guernsey, unless the context requires otherwise.",
