# The Immigration (Regularisation Period for Overstayers) Regulations 2000, Regulation 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration (Regularisation Period for Overstayers) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which they are made.
(2) In these Regulations `the Act' means the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.
