  "text": "In this Act, except where the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:—\n“the appointed day” means such day as may be agreed by Imperial College and Wye College under section 3 (Appointed day) of this Act;\n“the charter” means the charter incorporating Wye College granted by His Late Majesty King George VI on 13th September 1948;\n“the Council” means the Council of Imperial College;\n“Imperial College” means the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine;\n“the registrar” has the meaning given in section 744 of the 1985 c. 6.Companies Act 1985.",
