Section 4 (agreement for exercise by Minister of certain functions of local highway authority as respects highway affected by construction etc of trunk road) is amended as follows.

In subsection (1)—

(a)

after the first “Minister” insert “or a strategic highways company, whichever is the highway authority for a trunk road (“the trunk road authority”);

(b)

for the second “Minister” substitute “ trunk road authority ”;

(c)

for “a trunk road”, wherever occurring, substitute “ that trunk road ”.

In subsection (2)—

(a)

for “Minister”, wherever occurring, substitute “ trunk road authority ”;

(b)

for “he” substitute “ the trunk road authority ”.
