# The Insolvency (Northern Ireland) Order 1989, Article 252: Commencement and continuance


The bankruptcy of an individual against whom a bankuptcy order has been made—
(a) commences with the day on which the order is made, and
(b) continues until the individual is discharged under the following provisions of this Chapter.
