(i)

For certificates issued from 1975 onwards, the appropriate grades are–

(a)

GCSE or GCE Ordinary level passes: A, B and C;

(b)

SCE Ordinary Grade passes: up to and including 1985, A, B and C; from 1986, 1, 2 and 3;

(c)

SCE Standard Grade passes: 1, 2 and 3.

(d)

Advanced level passes: A, B, C, D and E.

(e)

Higher Grade passes: A, B and C.

(ii)

For certificates issued before 1975, the appropriate grades are those which, in relation to the Level or Grade of pass in question, are equivalent to those specified above in relation to that Level or Grade of pass.
