# The Insolvency Rules 1986, Rule 5.40: Approval by creditors


(1) All creditors who wish to vote shall give notice in [FORM 4.11][FORM 4.12][FORM 4.13]Form 5.6 to the official receiver of their decision whether to accept or reject the debtor’s proposal. Such notification shall be sent to the official receiver at the address specified in the notice.
(2) Votes may be signed by a representative of a creditor.
(3) Votes from a representative of a creditor shall be accompanied by written authority for that representation signed and dated by the creditor.
