# The Insurance Companies (Amendment) Regulations 1998, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 3rd December 1998
Coming into force 1st January 1999
The Treasury in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 17, 18, 34A, 90, 96(1) and 97 of the Insurance Companies Act 1982 and now vested in them, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:
