# The Insurance (Lloyd's) Regulations 1997, Introduction: Introductory text


INSURANCE
Made 8th March 1997
Laid before Parliament 11th March 1997
Coming into force 1st January 1998
The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under sections 84(1), 86, 90, 96(1) and 97 of the Insurance Companies Act 1982and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
