# The Insurance (Lloyd's) Regulations 1997, Paragraph 1


For the purposes of this Schedule, “syndicate” means a group of underwriting members of Lloyd’s underwriting insurance business at Lloyd’s through the agency of a managing agent to which a particular syndicate number is assigned by, or under the authority of, the Council of Lloyd’s and “syndicate year” means a year of account of a syndicate.
