Explanatory note

This Order confers exemptions from certain taxes and duties on importation and exemptions in respect of social security contributions on officers of the Inter-American Development Bank who are not British citizens, British Dependent Territories citizens or British Overseas citizens or permanently resident in the United Kingdom. It enables the United Kingdom to give effect to two Exchanges of Notes between Her Majesty's Government and the Inter-American Development Bank (Cmnd. 7567 and Cmnd. 8047).
