# The Invasive Alien Species (Enforcement and Permitting) Order 2019, Article 14: Defences: permits and licences

Article 3 (import, keeping, breeding, purchase, release etc. of invasive alien species) does not apply to anything done under, and in accordance with—
(a) a permit; or
(b) a licence.
