# Investigatory Powers Act 2016, Section 244: Oversight by Information Commission in relation to Part 4


The Information Commission must audit compliance with requirements or restrictions imposed by virtue of Part 4 in relation to the integrity, security or destruction of data retained by virtue of that Part.
