# The Ipswich Barrier Order 2012, Article 9: River not to be a reservoir

Extent: E+W+S

Regardless of the provisions of subsection (2) of section 1 of the Reservoirs Act 1975, no part of the river as is impounded by the scheduled works is, by virtue of the retention of water by means of the scheduled works, to be taken to be a reservoir for the purposes of that Act.
