# The Isle of Wight (Electoral Changes) Order 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force in accordance with article 1(2) and 1(3)
The Boundary Committee for England, in accordance with section 15(5) of the Local Government Act 1992 (“the 1992 Act”), have conducted a review of the county of Isle of Wight and have submitted to the Electoral Commission recommendations dated June 2008:
A period of not less than six weeks has expired since the receipt of those recommendations:
The Electoral Commission have decided to give effect, without modification, to those recommendations:
The Electoral Commission make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 17 and 26 of the 1992 Act:
