# The Jobseeker’s Allowance (Amendment) Regulations 1996, Regulation 5: Voluntary redundancy


In sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (1) of regulation 71 of the Jobseeker’s Allowance Regulations (voluntary redundancy) delete the word “or” and at the end of sub-paragraph (b) insert the words
“or
(c) where he has been laid off or kept on short-time to the extent specified in sub-section (1) of section 88 of the Employment Protection (Consolidation) Act 1978, and has complied with the requirements of that section.”.
