# The Jobseeker’s Allowance (Joint Claims) Amendment Regulations 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 14th January 2008
Coming into force 25th February 2008
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(2C) and (4)(b), 35(1) and 36(2) and (4) of, and paragraph 8A of Schedule 1 to, the Jobseekers Act 1995.
The Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it.
