Regulation 30 Amendments to the 1995 Regulations

For regulation 4.9 (Maximum contributions) substitute—

“Maximum contributions

4.9

(1)

A member may not make contributions at a rate that is higher than the rate at which he was contributing immediately before 6th April 2006 (“the former rate”), or at a rate which would result in a level of benefits that would be higher than the level of benefits that he would have accrued at the former rate.

Members may cease to contribute to the JABS, JAYS or JASSPS and may subsequently start contributing at a different rate to the particular scheme or schemes to which they ceased contributing, subject to the limitation in paragraph (1).”.
