# The Judicial Pensions Regulations 2022, Paragraph 1: Interpretation

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

In this Schedule—
“closing date”, in relation to a transition member, means 31st March 2022;
“transition date”, in relation to a transition member, means the day after the closing date;
“transition member” means a person—
(a) who is a member of a pre-2022 scheme by virtue of the person’s pensionable service under that scheme before the transition date; and
(b) who is a member of this scheme by virtue of the person’s pensionable service under this scheme.
