# Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2016, Section 49: Lay visitors for all police stations


In section 73 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (arrangements for lay visitors to visit designated places of detention)—
(a) in subsections (1), (3)(a) and (4)(a) omit “designated”;
(b) for subsections (9) and (10) substitute—
“(9) In this section “place of detention” means a police station at which persons are detained””
