The rates specified in the preceding paragraph shall be reduced by an appropriate amount in respect of any meal provided free of charge by any local authority during the period to which the allowance relates.

(2)

In the preceding sub-paragraph “local authority” means the corporation of the City of London, the Greater London Council, a county council, a district council, a London borough council or a parish or community council.
