Article 2

The existing coroners districts of Ashford and Shepway, East Kent and Thanet (as constituted by the Kent (Corners' Districts) Order 1974^f1 and amended by the Kent (Coroners' Districts) (Amendment) Order 1996^f2) of the County of Kent shall be abolished.

From the area of the coroners' districts referred to in paragraph (1) above, there shall be formed the coroners' districts of Central and South East Kent and North East Kent which shall consist of the areas specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this Order.
