  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order brings into force on 1st March 1999 section 8 (powers to stop and search for knives or offensive weapons) of the Knives Act 1997. Section 8, which extends to England and Wales and Scotland, is the last provision of the Act to be brought into force.",
