# The Land Charges Fees Rules 2024, Rule 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) These Rules may be cited as the Land Charges Fees Rules 2024 and shall come into force on 9th December 2024.
(2) In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires –
“the Act” means the Land Charges Act 1972;
“electronic means” means electronically in accordance with a notice given under Schedule 3 to the Land Charges Rules 1974 but not by email;
“fee” means a fee specified in the Schedule.
