# The Land Charges Rules 1974, Note: Explanatory note


These Rules, which supersede the Land Charges (No. 2) Rules 1972, reproduce the provisions of those rules with amendments. The Rules prescribe the procedures and forms for registration and searches in the Land Charges Department taking account of the new facilities associated with computerisation of the index kept by the Department under the Land Charges Act 1972.
