Article 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

This Order may be cited as the Land Registration Act 2002 (Transitional Provisions) Order 2003 and shall come into force on the day that section 1 of the Act comes into force.

In this Order—

• “the 1925 Act” means the Land Registration Act 1925^f1,

• “the 1925 Rules” means the Land Registration Rules 1925^f2,

• “the 1972 Rules” means the Land Registration (Souvenir Land) Rules 1972^f3,

• “the 1991 Rules” means the Land Registration (Open Register) Rules 1991^f4,

• “the 1993 Rules” means the Land Registration (Official Searches) Rules 1993^f5,

• “the 2003 Rules” means the Land Registration Rules 2003^f6,

• “the Act” means the Land Registration Act 2002,

• “commencement” means the day when section 1 of the Act comes into force,

• “the Regulations” means the Land Registration (Conduct of Business) Regulations 2000^f7.
