This Order which replaces the Land Registration (District Registries) Order 1984 transfers responsibility for the registration of titles:—

(a)

in the county of Staffordshire from the Nottingham to the Birkenhead District Land Registry as from 1st June 1987;

(b)

in the county of Leicestershire from the Peterborough to the Nottingham District Land Registry as from 1st July 1987;

(c)

in the county of Essex from the Stevenage to the Peterborough District Land Registry as from 1st October 1987;

(d)

in the London Boroughs of Hillingdon and Hounslow from the Harrow to the Swansea District Land Registry as from 1st October 1987;

The areas of the remaining district registries at Croydon, Durham, Gloucester, Lytham, Plymouth, Tunbridge Wells and Weymouth are unchanged.

The Order continues the requirement that applications for registration shall be delivered at the appropriate district registry, as defined in the Order.
