# The Legal Aid (Functions) Order 1997, Article 1: Citation and commencement


This Order may be cited as the Legal Aid (Functions) Order 1997 and shall come into force:
(a) as to article 4, on 1st April 1997;
(b) as to the rest of the Order, on the day following the day on which it was made.
