# The Legal Aid (General) (Amendment) Regulations 1988, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations extend exemption from the statutory charge under section 9(6) of the Legal Aid Act 1974 to income support, family credit and housing benefit paid under the Social Security Act 1986.
