# Legal Services (Scotland) Act 2010, Section 131: Acting as approved regulator


After section 1 of the 1980 Act insert—
“Power to act as statutory regulator
1A The Society may—
(a) act as an approved regulator within the meaning of Part 2 of the 2010 Act,
(b) do anything that is necessary or expedient for the purposes of doing so.”.
