  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations bring into force the Letting Agent Code of Practice set out in the Schedule. It makes provision about—\n(a) the standards of practice of persons who carry out letting agency work;\n(b) the handling of tenants’ and landlords’ money by those persons; and\n(c) the professional indemnity arrangements to be kept in place by those persons.\nA Business Regulatory Impact Assessment has been prepared and placed in the Scottish Parliament Information Centre. Copies can be obtained from Better Homes Division, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, EH6 6QQ, and are available on line at www.legislation.gov.uk.",
