# The Licensed Betting Offices (Amendment) Regulations 1997, Introduction: Introductory text


BETTING, GAMING AND LOTTERIES
Made 22nd March 1997
Laid before Parliament 25th March 1997
Coming into force 19th April 1997
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 10(6) of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963 and paragraph 3 of Schedule 4 to that Act, having regard to the definition of “prescribed” in section 55(1) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:
