  "heading": "Duty to notify licensing authority of convictions etc during application period",
  "text": "(1) Where an applicant for the grant ... of a personal licence is convicted of a relevant offence or a foreign offence during the application period, or is required to pay an immigration penalty during that period, he must as soon as reasonably practicable notify the conviction or the requirement to pay (as the case may be) to the authority to which the application is made.\n(2) A person commits an offence if he fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with subsection (1).\n(3) A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale.\n(4) In this section “the application period” means the period that—\n(a) begins when the application for grant ... is made, and\n(b) ends when the application is determined or withdrawn.",
