  "heading": "Information identifying importer",
  "text": "(1) Before placing a safety component for lifts on the market , an importer must indicate on the safety component for lifts—\n(a) the name, registered trade name or registered trade mark of the importer; and\n(b) a postal address at which the importer can be contacted.\n(2) The information specified in paragraph (1) must be in a language which can be easily understood by end-users and the market surveillance authority.\n(3) Paragraph (1) does not apply where—\n(a) either—\n(i) it is not possible to set out the information specified in paragraph (1) on the safety component for lifts; or\n(ii) the importer has imported the safety component from an EEA state or Switzerland and places it on the market within the period of seven years beginning with IP completion day; and\n(b) before placing the safety component for lifts on the market, the importer sets out the information specified in paragraph (1)—\n(i) on the packaging; or\n(ii) in a document accompanying the safety component for lifts.",
