# The Lifts Regulations 2016, Paragraph 4: Interpretation


In this Schedule, “non-compliance” means that the lift or safety component for lifts—
(a) presents a risk; or
(b) is not in conformity with Part 2 or RAMS in its application to lifts or safety components for lifts.
