  "text": "The approved body chosen by the installer shall examine the technical documentation and the lift and carry out the appropriate tests as set out in the relevant designated standard(s), or equivalent tests, to check its conformity with the applicable essential health and safety requirements set out in Schedule 1. The tests shall include at least the tests referred to in point 3.3 of Schedule 12.\nIf the lift meets the essential health and safety requirements set out in Schedule 1 the approved body shall issue a certificate of conformity relating to the tests carried out.\nThe approved body shall fill in the corresponding pages of the logbook referred to in point 7.2 of Schedule 1.\nIf the approved body refuses to issue the certificate of conformity, it shall state in detail its reasons for refusal and indicate the necessary corrective measures to be taken. When the installer reapplies for unit verification he shall apply to the same approved body.\nOn request, the approved body shall provide the Secretary of State with a copy of the certificate of conformity.",
