# The Local Authorities (Armorial Bearings) Order 1978, Article 4


Any armorial bearings the bearing and use of which is authorised by Article 3 of this Order shall be first exemplified according to the laws of arms and recorded in the College of Arms, otherwise such authority shall be void and of no effect.
