# The Local Authorities (Discretionary Expenditure Limits) (Wales) Order 2000, Article 2: Expenditure limits


(1) For the purposes of section 137(4)(a) of the Local Government Act 1972 the sum of £5.00 is specified as the sum appropriate to a principal or a community council in Wales.
(2) For the purposes of section 137A(1) of the Local Government Act 1972 the sum of £5000 is specified as the relevant minimum for financial assistance provided by a local authority in Wales.
