# The Local Authorities Etc. (Allowances) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1998, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 17th December 1998
Laid before Parliament 23rd December 1998
Coming into force 14th January 1999
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 45(4), 47 and 235(1) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 and sections 18 and 190(1) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
