  "heading": "Costs of local inquiries",
  "text": "(1) Subsections (4) and (5) of section 250 of the Act shall apply to inquiries held under section 290 of the Local Government Act 1933.\n(2) In respect of any inquiry held before 1st April 1974 to which the said subsections apply, whether by virtue of paragraph (1) above or otherwise—\n(a) any water authority or Passenger Transport Executive may be required to pay the costs described in the said subsection (4) as if they had been a party to the inquiry; and\n(b) any order made under the said subsection (5) may order the costs of parties to the inquiry to be paid by a new local authority, water authority or Passenger Transport Executive as if they had been a party to the inquiry.",
